Instructions on how to take baseline photos for online consultations
If possible, please face a window or take the photos outside for bright daylight.
Your hair should be clean, dry, and free of styling products when you take your photos.
We need the following four images to document the beginning of your hair journey.
STEP 1: FRONT
Start by holding your phone an arm’s length away in front of you and take photos of your face and hair.
STEP 2: PART
Loosely part your hair in the middle.
Make sure not to stretch the hair away from the part. The part must be loose to determine your hair density.
STEP 3: BOTH TEMPLES
Lift your hair upwards in the temple area, including the small hairs covering the thinning area.
Remember to take photos of both right and left temple.
STEP 4: SELECTION
Look through the photos and select the best ones according to the following factors:
1. Daylight (there is adequate light in the photo, but it is not overexposed)
2. Sharpness (the photo quality is high and it doesn't seem pixelated)
3. Right distance (hold the phone in 20-30 cm distance from your hair)
4. Right angles (check that the angles match the above requirements)
